Photographer/Lecturer Over the past two decades, TED has successfully crossed from a photography hobbyist to a professional photographer cum lecturer, reaping awards from various prestigious photo competitions here and abroad. His continuous search for new and captivating images has brought him to many travels: to Asia’s rich cultural heritage in Malaysia, Thailand, Macau, Japan, China, Singapore, Hongkong, Vietnam, Australia and recently to Dubai, Cambodia and Mongolia; and to the world’s wonder, the Grand Canyon of Colorado, the majestic sights of colorful soil formations of the Bryce and Moab canyons of Utah, the iconic Monument Valley of Arizona, the geothermal wonders of Yellowstone and the stunning mountain scenery with diverse array of wildlife of the Grand Tetons National Park in Wyoming, the spectacular landscape of the Glacier National Park in Montana, and the freezing winter sceneries of Alaska, USA. In 2006, the government of Canada sponsored his photo exhibit held at Mactan Shangri-la Resort Hotel, showcasing the majestic mountain scenery of Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. A part-time mentor, and most often the only Filipino mentor of BIGFOOT’s International Academy of Film and Television (recognized as one of the world’s top ten film schools), he also has conducted various photography seminar workshops and has staged exhibits of his works in the country. Ted is a major contributor of photos in Cebu’s coffee table book entitled Postcards of Cebu and was also the photographer for the coffee table book of Tangub City, both cities in the Philippines. Currently, he was commissioned by a Singapore-based design and publishing company to do the photography of another coffee table book, this time about the iconic designs of Cebu’s world-class furniture, soon to be off the press. His other various works have been published in local and national newspapers and internationally circulated magazines. He studied in the world’s oldest photography school, the NEW YORK INSTITUTE OF PHOTOGRAPHY and was recently appointed to be part of the NIKON Pro Elite-Philippines.
